iPad screenshot sizes (2026)

When App Store Connect asks for iPad screenshots, the one size you actually need to upload, and the tablet sizes Google Play uses.

Short version: if your app runs on iPad, upload 2064 × 2752 px screenshots in the “iPad 13-inch display” slot. Apple uses them for the smaller iPads too. Up to 10 per language.

When iPad screenshots are required

App Store Connect asks for iPad screenshots whenever your build supports iPad. That includes universal apps, and iPhone apps where you haven’t turned iPad support off in Xcode. If your app is iPhone-only, you can skip this section of App Store Connect entirely.

A common surprise is an app that “just works” on iPad because the default target includes it. If you don’t want to design for iPad yet, remove iPad from the supported destinations in Xcode before you submit.

Taking good iPad captures

  1. Run the app on a 13-inch iPad simulator (or a real iPad Pro or iPad Air 13").
  2. Fill it with realistic, attractive sample data. Empty states look worse on a big screen.
  3. Use layouts that make use of the width: split views, sidebars and multi-column grids sell the iPad version.
  4. Capture in the orientation you’ll upload. Keep every screenshot in the set the same orientation.

Android tablet sizes for Google Play

Google Play has separate, optional tablet slots. They’re worth filling if your app supports tablets, because Google features tablet-optimised apps on large screens.

  • 7" tablet: 1200 × 1920 px, up to 8 screenshots.
  • 10" tablet: 1600 × 2560 px, up to 8 screenshots.

Making iPad screenshots in Store Screenshot Studio

Turn on iPad 13" under Export sizes, then drop an iPad capture onto each slide. Your headlines and theme carry over automatically, and the iPad versions export at 2064 × 2752 into their own folder in the ZIP. Tablet slots never reuse phone screenshots, so you won’t accidentally upload a stretched iPhone image.

FAQ

What size are iPad screenshots for the App Store?

Upload the 13-inch iPad size: 2064 × 2752 pixels in portrait (or the same size rotated for landscape).

Do I need iPad screenshots?

Only if your app runs on iPad. If your app is iPhone-only, App Store Connect doesn’t ask for them.

Do I need screenshots for every iPad size?

No. Apple uses your 13-inch screenshots for the smaller iPad sizes too. You can upload separate smaller sizes if you want, but most apps don’t.

Can I use iPhone screenshots on iPad?

Not directly. The aspect ratio is very different, and Apple expects the screenshots to show your app running on iPad. Take captures on an iPad or an iPad simulator.

How many iPad screenshots can I upload?

Up to 10 per language, the same as for iPhone.
